TOURNAMENT RULES

 

1) Sanction
This tournament is sanction by QBF, FIQ-WTBA
Asian Zone and FIQ-WTBA World

2) Eligibility
This is a single tournament that is open to all.
Exception:
A) Any Bowler for whatever reason that are suspended from its federation, association.
B) Any Bowler under 14 years of age.

3) Entry Fees
Tournament Registration Fee:     600 US Dollars (1 Squad includes 18 Games)
Desperado Squad Fee:             100 US Dollar (1 Game)

4) Register for Squads
Qualification:
Will be played in 2 (A and B) Squads with a maximum of 64 players in each Squad (128 players). A player can choose to play in either A Squad or B Squad or both squads. You can only register a Squad/squads via our homepage, or in the bowling center from February 26. Last date and time for registration in bowling center is February 27 15:30. Last date to register online is February 25.

Desperado Squad:  Any player that has registered and paid for a squad is entitled to play the Desperado Squad.

5) Lane Movements
Qualification:
6+6+6 games. Players move after 2 games. Left move left, right move right.
Finals: Step 1 and 2, 8 Games. Will move left/right after 2 games.
            Step 3 and 4. 2 Games played on the same pair of lanes.

Tournament Format

6) Qualification
18 Games. 6 games per day for 3 days.

7) Desperado Squad
1 Game.

8) Composing Top 36
A: 28 players from the general standing.
B: 2 top Qatari Youth players after top 28 general standing.
C: 2 top any Qatari players after top 28 general standing.
D: 4 players from the desperado squad
Players are qualified from the categories in the order A-B-C-D
In case a players play both squads, his highest 18 game series squad score will count.

9) Qualification To Steps

22 players from A (pos. 7 to 28) + 2 players from B + 2 players from C + 4 players from D (30 players) will qualify for step 1 final.
Players positioned 1 - 6 in the general standing (A) will qualify for step 2.

Step 1 Final
30 players will play 8 games starting from scratch. Top 10 will qualify for step 2. Players not continuing to step 2 will be ranked pos. 17 – 36.

Step 2 Final
16 players will play 8 games from scratch. Top 4 will qualify for step 3. Players not continuing to step 3 will be ranked 5 – 16 according to their positions in their standing of the step 2.

Step 3 Final
2 matches  (seeded 1 vs. seeded 4 and seeded 2 vs. seeded 3. 2 games total pin fall.
The 2 winners will continue to step 4. Players not continuing to step 4 will be ranked pos. 3 – 4.

Step 4 Final
1 match (winner vs. winner. 2 games total pin fall.

 

Tournament Tie Rules

Qualification and step 1 and 2
In case of a tie, the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest last game. If a tie still exists the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest 2nd last game, then the player with the highest 3rd game etc.

Step 3 – 4
In case of a tie in a match, a one ball roll of on a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken.

Desperado
In case of a tie, the highest positioned player will be the player with the highest position after the qualification.

 

Prize Money

 

1st - 27.000 US Dollar

2nd - 13.500 US Dollar

3rd – 4th = 4.000 US Dollar

5th - 8th = 1.600 US Dollar

9th – 16th = 1.000 US Dollar

17th – 36th = 700 US Dollar

 

Daily High Series (6 games) during qualification (3 days)
200 US Dollar (each group separate)
If more than 1 player reach top high series of the day, the prize money will be shared.
