FORMAT AND RULES
DATES: Qualifying rounds - starts on Saturday, MAY 20, 2017 from 5:00 PM till 11:00 PM (Last Entry)
During Ramadan, starts @ 6:00 PM till 1:00 AM (Last Entry)

DIVISION B – June 14, 2017
DIVISION A – June 15, 2017
FINALS:
DIVISION B – June 15, 2017
DIVISION A – June 16, 2017
QUALIFYING ROUNDS:
DIVISION A - SCRATCH GAME
- Open to all bowlers
- Will bowl 2 sets of 3 games (total of 6 games)
- Div. B bowlers will be allowed to join but has to play scratch
- Ladies gets 8 handicap/ game
DIVISION B - HANDICAP GAME
- Open to all bowlers w/ an average of 190 and below
- Will bowl 2 sets of 3 games (total of 6 games)
- Entering Ave. – total average from QBC/QBF clubs of the year 2016 - 2017 (Minimum 9 games)
- Maximum Hdcp - 10 (see handicap range table)
- Ladies and children (13 yrs old & below) - Hdcp + 3
- For outside bowlers (abroad) joining the tournament automatically belongs to Division A.
QUALIFYING
TIME: DAILY (Starts 6:00 pm and ends at 1:00 am as last
entry, NO PRACTICE ALLOWED IN THE TOURNAMENT LANES.)
Note: Keyboard console will be on locked mode during try out, only designated person allowed to make score corrections.
FINALS
B - DIVISION
TOP 16 Division B (16) will play 8 games; carry over score from the Qualifying results, changing lanes every game.
TOP 8 Div. B - Knockout match. Play a total of 2 games, starting from scratch. (1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5)
TOP 4 Div. B - Knockout match. Play total of 2 games. (1 - 4, 2 - 3)
Finals - Will play total of 2 games. (W vs. W = for Pos. 1 and 2) and (Loser vs. Loser for Pos 3 and 4)
A - DIVISION
TOP 16 Division A (16) will play 8 games; carry over score from the Qualifying results, changing lanes every game.
TOP 8 Div. A - Knockout match. Play a total of 2 games, starting from scratch. (1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5)
TOP 4 Div. A - Knockout match. Play total of 2 games. (1 - 4, 2 - 3)
Finals - Will play total of 2 games. (W vs. W = for Pos. 1 and 2) and (Loser vs. Loser for Pos 3 and 4)
TIE BREAKING PROCEDURES:
Q-Rounds - Pos. 1 & 2 and Pos. 16 & 17 = 1 ball shot till the tie is broken.
Top 16 - Highest game on the 8th game then 7th game & etc. till the tie is broken.
Finals - one ball shot till the tie is broken.
Lane Assignment and Lane Movement
- During Qualification - minimum 2 players per lane
- Frequency of Movement during Finals (Top 16) - after each game.
- Movement Method - left lane players moving left / right lane players moving right
- Number of lanes to move - 2 lanes during Finals (Top 16)
ENTRY POLICY
1. Maximum number of entries is unlimited
2. Will bowl 2 sets of 3 games (total of 6 games)
3. Cancellation is possible BUT must start new game.
4. Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Cancellation and wants to re-entry will means another fee.
5. Re-entry procedure - using the first come, first serve basis and the availability of lanes
6. Maximum3 bowlers per lane to have a re-entry. Tournament lanes cannot be used for practice.
7. Tournament Committee reserves the right to decline entries based on availability
8. Submitting the entry forms and fees means a bowler agreed to abide by Tournament rules and policies.
9. During Qualification - bowlers present on tryout cannot refuse in an additional entry is added to qualify.
Addendum to the rules: If a bowler has NO record of games from any bowling Club/s or Qatar Bowling Federation, he must bowl total of 6 games during qualification (2 squad’s equivalent) to determine his average.
NOTE: All entry forms must bear the signature of the players (QBC AUDIT)
Call for reserved - TOP 16 -- 5 minutes before the practice starts

QBC/QBF RULES TO FOLLOW
Reminders:
- No caps, hats, short shorts, tank tops or halter tops during Finals
- No jeans or "maong" pants during Finals
- NO CREDIT PLEASE
- Observe bowling etiquette
